Gutshof Hotel Arosa

Welcome to Gutshof Hotel “Arosa” Ochtendung

History of Gutshof Hotel “Arosa”

The Gutshof Hotel “Arosa” opened in 1968. Back then, the family business moved from just across the street, from “Hotel “Ohligschläger”, to the former farmstead located at the village’s main crossroad. For this reason, the Arosa is called an “Gutshof” hotel.

At the beginning, we served large portions of fine home cooking. Regional specialities were also extremely popular. Many of our loyal patrons from near and far were keen on our delicious pork dishes, where the meat originated from our own animals and slaughter.

We furnished the hotel rooms as well as the individual restaurant rooms in the cosy country-style.

In 1992, Ralf Leiendecker, having worked with several top chefs at their high-class restaurants (Günther Scherrer, The Victorian; Peter Wehlauer, Schloß Fuschl; Achim Stocker Restaurant Riedenburg; Gaston Lenotre, at his restaurants in Paris and Hamburg), joined forces with his father Willi Leiendecker at the Arosa, changing Arosa’s cuisine once again. Today we serve our guests a fine regional cuisine as well as local rustic specialities prepared with ingredients from the regional market.

There is probably no standard recipe for the creation of a modern German estate hotel, but the Estate Hotel “Arosa” could serve as a role model - a high-quality cuisine with regional and hearty specialities nobody can resist.

From 2014 to 2016 we modernised not only the hotel rooms and parts of the restaurant, but also the exterior façade.
